I’ve tried to read the Classics but some in my opinion are plain boring. Sometimes I think they are only classics because they managed to survive (for whatever reason). I do like Shakespeare and Dickens though – both are akin to modern day soap operas which people criticise me for watching but all the ingredients are there.

I haven’t really read many fantasy novels since I became an adult, but I would never pour scorn on anyone who preferred these. Mummy porn on the other hand …
