Mango Cake and Murder by Christy Murphy
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I picked up Mango Cake and Murder by Christy Murphy, as I’ve been a fan of amateur sleuths as I grew up on Jessica Fletcher (Murder She Wrote) and Mrs Marple (of Agatha Christie fame).
It was short and an easy read as I eased myself into the new year.
A classic whodunit set against the backdrop of a party.
However, it wasn’t really memorable. This is not because it is a short story as some novellas are able to deliver this. A few tweaks could solve this
It does serve as an introduction to the series so maybe if you want to read more about Christy and her Mom, this will pique your interest.
